coolant flush?

My bikes been running hot the past week so i changed out the oil and my fan is working and its still running hot.I posted on here and was told to change the coolant.I plan on bringing it in to be done the 1st of the week.I read some other posts on here that say you have to burp the engine when you flush the coolant. My question is when i have this done ,should i tell the mechanic to burp the engine or is this common knowledge and he will do this regardless when he flushs the coolant.

if your taking it do a dealership, they will know to burp it, its common knowledge if you work on bikes.

dont be surprised if after they hit you up for $3-$40 of coolant, and $60 labor, they come back and tell you that you need a t-stat.

what does burping the engine mean?

Ride or Die... Hit them Roids!!! Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world theyíve been given then to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. Itís an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. Itís a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.

getting all the air out of the system.
an air bubble will block the coolant circulation and cause you to run hot.
there are multiple write ups here on how to do it.

or you can go get raped by the dealer.

ps what do you mean by hot.

what is your temp
230ish is common.
