The RR is almost identical to your bike Temp wise
just double check the coolant level in both the Radiator
and the reservoir bottle

If it doesn't challange you it won't change you

I've read that temps around 220-230 are normal. Make sure your fan kicks in at/around 217-220. Also check your coolant levels.

I don't ride fast; I fly low

Your temp is normal. I live in TX and what I do when I get stuck in traffic is kill the motor if I get stuck at a light. (After I make sure someone is stopped behind me and protecting my rear.)

The bike runs a lot cooler overal doing this, and hardly ever gets hot enough for the fans to kick on, even in 100-degree heat.

If you are riding slowly like around the block, your bike will get pretty hot since there isn't much airflow over the radiator. Like the other guys said just make sure your coolant level is adequate, and the fans are kicking on.

I'm DC and my bike gets to 220-225 quickly if I am not traveling with a lot of airflow getting to the radiator (as mentioned before, awesome board eh?!!) I get worried about temp too. Coolant is ok though. I might switch out the coolant soon to the engine ice, just to make sure I have the good stuff running thru her. Just got it in the Spring and don't know what the previous owner put in it (probably just regular?).
