Question 03 600RR turn signal switch

i have a 2003 600RR. anyone have problems with the turn signal switch? only my left side worked at first, last night i went to turn left and the left side stayed on and the fuse blew. a while back i ran through the wiring, looked ok. do you think the switch could be bad. before the fuse blew when the left side worked if i switched it to turn right you could see a faint pulsating in the head light and taillight until you pressed it in. i tried to find a ground problem but no luck. any suggestions? thanks to any replies.
