05 600RR Fan not working

On my way home from work last friday, i noticed water boiling from my radiator and temps up to 250F.... i turned it off and got it to the side of the road, turned the bike back on and noticed the fan wasn't running.... I tried to manually spin the fan with my finger but it seemed as if it didn't spin freely, but im pretty sure mine has always been like this.... so has anyone ever had this problem, maybe a fuse, or the motor in the fan.... thanks.

undo the fan connecter & run 2 lines (+ & -) direct from the battery to the fan. If the fan doesn't spin you need a new fan.

It's a pretty simple circuit. a signal gets sent to the Fan Control Relay, closes the relay and sends 12VDC+ from the battery, through a fuse, through the relay, and onto the fan.

so check the components.

hey guys almost same thing happened to me, except mine wouldn't spin at all... So I took the bike apart and spun the fan by hand, and it has this horrible wobble to it. Has this happened to anyone else??
