gear question

Have a quick question i got a 03 600rr I dont believe i can engage my 6th gear. My rpms are about 6000 at 70mph in top gear. Does this sound right? Looking for some help.

I'd suggest counting your gears as you upshift.

6000 @ 70 MPH sounds about right uncorrected for speed. 60 MPH should net you 5500 PRMs there or there abouts.

assuming the final gearing is stock, Slugger has the correct rpm to speed indicated, if someone put a quick acceration kit in it previously you might be on a different final ratio, so if it's really bugging you take the cover plate off the front sprocket and count teeth on front and rear - stock is 16 front / 43 rear

theres no need for that - it doesn't matter.

Count the gears up to 5th & go say '60mph' - check the RPMs.
then kick it into 6th - at the same speed - are the RPMs the same?

Sprokets & Final Drive are nothing to do with potential gearbox issues.
