Bike wouldnt start...had to take it in. Anyone else have this prob?
Went out to hop on my bike saturday morning, fired it up, then after about one minute of idling it died. I fired it up again and it died right away. Tried again and had to hold the throttle open about half way and the bike barely stayed alive. It was idling very rough and sounded like it was only running on 2 cylinders. As soon as I let go of the throttle it died and wouldnt fire up anymore.
The fuel pump sounded like it was priming just fine, there were no FI codes flashing, and the fuses were all in tact.
I took it in and dropped it off at the dealership- havent heard back from them yet. They told me it is most likely the fuel regulator. Dude said he has seen this problem before on 2006 600RRs. Anyone else run into this problem?
This wasnt the first time the bike did the wierd idle thing where I had to hold the throttle in but before it would end up running just fine.
I have a jardine slip on and a K&N air filter.....no PCIII though. Could that have something to do with it?
