Sometimes it can jam up if it's wound out too far - then it feels like it's still turning but it's actually the cable twisting. You need to get to see where the cable fits to the idle adjust linkage on the throttle bodies, it's sort of behind the canchain tensioner on the rhs of the motor - seen looking in from the side. Even then it's hard to see and you might need small vice grips to turn the cable and free it off.

Try searching 'Idle Adjuster' or similar, I'm sure some photo's have been posted up in the past.

I was performing some general maintenance on my 05rr today and went to adjust the idle and it seemed to do nothing except it would maybe turn it slightly down, after trying to turn it up the adjuster came right out.... now I'm screwed and gotta replace the thing.... any suggestions anyone?

Did you have any luck with yours yet?
