Buttons on gauge cluster don't work?

Hi all,

I just bought my first bike yesterday. 2004 600RR!! Yeah!

I was messing around with it yesterday and noticed that the buttons on the gauge cluster don't do anything. I was trying to set the clock and the trip meter and no matter what combination of buttons I push nothing happens. Anybody else experienced this?

Search.....

All it takes is a little super glue and some time to fix.

That makes sense. I did try with the bike on and off, ignition on and off, lights on and off, etc.... I figured I was doing something wrong but I can't figure out what.
