battery issue.

my battery died. its a fairly new bike. only a year and a month. with only 4k miles. i did an oil change a while bike and killed the battery some how. ended up kick starting it. and it was fine. rode it for about a week. and had it parked in my garage for 2 days. i went to start it up but wouldnt turn over. any ideas? the only thing i can think of that might of messed it up was the oil change. but i didnt mess with any of the wires. and ive never had problems riding with my hi-beams. can that be an issue?

Invest in a Battery tender for $30. It will prolong the life of ur battery and should solve ur current issue.

mine also died very quickly - rr7 after less than a year old.
We haven't yet figured out why it failed & a battery tender does not help a battery with a kaput cell.
I had to buy another battery - that's just the way it is.
The bike is fine

First things first. Ensure your connections are clean and tight. Charge the battery and get it load tested at an auto parts store.

so this is a 2007? any crashes or drops to disclose? what do you mean would not turn over. the starter would not rotate the engine? if that's the case, did you hear any clicking while attempting to start? what does the dash do? is the clock reset when you attempt the start?

no, get the battery charged first. do you have a digital multi-meter? you'll need one.
