asv brake lever

ok i just put my brake lever on. when i turn the bike on the brake light is on. and i when push the lever up the light goes off. i dont know what i should do to fix this???

It's been awhile but.. on the brake side you have a small pin that has to slide into the right spot.. I am willing to bet that you need to pull the lever and put the pin in the slot... You might have to rotate the bushing to get things lined up....

Thats whats keeping your brake light on..

I think he's talking about the "plunger barrel".

When I installed my ASV levers on my 03 I had two small baggies with small bushings. Hard as a mother to slide in to the lever, but a small 'C' clamp took care of that in a matter of seconds.

I would take the lever off, and start over. Make sure that you installed everything right and that nothing is binding. What year is your bike btw?

Did you install the correct adapter? If you bought it used, and it only came with one, that could be an issue. ASV levers come with a range of adapters to fit different bikes.
