Broken Clutch Perch

I recently broke my clutch perch and now my bike shuts off when I put it in first gear. I tried twisting the two wires together at the bottom of the clutch but from searching the threads it seems that I need to follow the wires down to the harness and jump them. I don't want to jump the clutch switch. I'd rather have the clutch feature still in tact.

If I buy a new clutch perch will my bike go into first with the clutch in without shutting off?

I cleaned the connections for the kickstand switch and it seems to be fine.

I just wanna get a second opinion before I buy a new perch.

thanks.

i think its your kickstand switch thats bad.
w/o a clutch switch, the bike will only start in neutral, but will run in gear.
