feel like i'm bouncing

Im pretty sure I know what it is but I just want to make sure that I'm on the right track. My bikes chain is kinda old and on every rotation it sticks a little so I'm thinking that's the reason why when I ride slow not only does it sound awful but it feels like it's jumping. Any insight would be nice.
