Won't rev past 10k, Another culprit found.
So I had been having the same problems as a few others, my bike wouldn't rev over 10 or 11k rpms. today I took the gas tank off and noticed the fuel line had gotten kinked when I last put the tank back on, the banjo connecting the line to the tank was put on so the line was twisted, I took it off and flipped it to how it should go and carefully slid the tank back in place so it didn't get kinked this time. and PRESTO, took the bike out for a spin and it pulled right up too 15k.
On a side note, its been so long since my bike was running properly between the dead battery and the fueling issue I forgot how much power it really had.
moral of the story, check your fuel lines. this is especially the case if the problem only started after you had been working on your bike, or had work done to it.
if you are having problems with bike not revving up to redline here are the possible problems it could be.
1. twisted/kinked/pinched fuel line.
2. Bad battery or bad stator.
3. bad fuel pump.
if you can think of other causes post them up.
