Ignition Switch Removal

im trying to put my new ignition switch in but cant get the screws out is there a special tool you use? looks like rivets but online i seen it say that it was bolts? any help?

u need one of those star pattern screw drivers! and it a bitch to remove! at least it was on my 06

my 07 did not have those star bits.
they were tamper proof screws. they are made to tear themselves up once you tighten them. i had to drill and use one of those grabit tools to get them out.

kool. yeah i just used a easy out tool from orchard... 5.00 bucks tapped it in the whole lightly with a hammer and slowly turned it out...kool thanx tho for the info
