08 rectifier replaceing an 03 one ????

Anyone tried this yet? 10 bucks off a wrecked bike. I can change the harness, that im not worried about, i want to know about specs and charging rates.

Anyone?

technically there arent the same, 08 has 5 leads total, 03 has 7 leads. HOWEVER it looks to me like the 03 has double red and double green wires. Which are your (+) and (-) leads.

I guess ill just wire them in and see what happens

By the way i tried flipping my 03 one around and yeah, it still wont start after you get up to operating temp. Funny thing is, the battery is newer as my original one lasted for 5 years. But this one has been giving me a headache since i got it. And when they are more expensive then say a full size optima battery, it tends to piss me off
