motor-ectomy

Here's the background - 03 CBR600 original motor gave it up o nthe cool down lap at RA in july, found a replacement from a crashed 06 - swapped out the speed sensor (different connector) now here's the problem, I've got a oil pressure light coming on after the engine runs for a few moments, beast has oil and all, sounds fine - anyone know of a difference in the sending unit on the 06 from the 03 that might cause a false? going to take a oil pressure gauge to it soon either way to make sure - any advice is appreciated

as far as i know that are the exact same. single wire and all. could be a faulty unit or a bad wire or short.

let us know what that oil pressure reading gives you.

80-90 psi while under 100 deg at 6k rpm, I think the pump is working fine, plan of action now I think is swap the sensor out with the original motor one and see if the warning light goes away - after that diving into the wiring harness (ugh)
