do i need the guage cluster

i am building a cbr quad and cant remember but i thought i read somewhere that you needed the guage cluster to have you bike run? is that true.. i mean is it some sensor that goes to the computer and wont let it start if you dont have the guage cluster? can i make it run without the guages or do i need to go buy them? help me i need to know so i have time to buy them before its due on may 5th

Just started mine without it. Kinda surprised me... you do have to have the headlights plugged in I believe, cause the bad angle sensor is in between them.

-05 600RR, Flat black
- Akrapovic SP slip on, Flushmounts, Integrated tail lights, DDM HID's.
