Had the very same trouble last week. (Check my thread just below your thread in this trouble shooting section.) Edit: in fact Doofie has posted a link to my thread above this post...
Mine was a small battery that didn't have enough power to start it when hot. BUT it had been fine for a long time. The actual reason was worn bushes in the starter. When cold it starts fine, but once hot, the internal resistance increases dramatically and you need that extra oomph to start it. In my case replacing the battery sorted it because i replaced it with a bigger one, making it up to the correct size it should've been. Yours if it's the correct size could mean that the starter has got to a worse state than mine and now even the proper size battery won't do it.
Check your battery, is it a 9AH battery? It should be... If it is, get it drop tested for free at any garage. It'll be fine i bet. It's charging and holding etc, it'll be fine, but you can tick the box.
I'd put my wallet on the starter motor.
