Turn the key and hit the rear cowl

well looks like im calling the locksmith. tried hitting the cowl while trying to turn it and nothing. the key will not turn at all. tried jiggling it and messing with it but nothing. almost as if that key was not meant for that lock?

The ignition cylinder and rear compartment cylinder do have some differences. The key probably wasn't cut 100% perfect if it wont undo the rear compartment.
