Unhappy yet another bike wont start thread..

so had the nose of the bike off to clean and get ready for HIDs but parts took s=to long and its starting to get nice out so i decided to put it back together.. but wont start noe everythings plugged in that i know of, the bike turns on all electronics work, when i turned on the key the first time i had the kill switch off, but turned it on and fuel pump primed as normal.. but still wont start, it sonds like its trying to catch but just wont fire.. .when it starts priming it makes a little clicking noise in the left side were the wire cinnections are, and when you push the start button, i think thats were the fuses are too... when i had the gage cluster off i tried to start it casue im stupid and thouhgt it might work, could that have something to do with it? blown fuse or whatnot?? cant think of anyhitng else besides something not plugged in fully!? oh one more thing, the little oil light next to the FI light stays on.. the FL light turns off after priming. i dono wtf i diddidnt disconnect from the battery either when i took it apart..

PLEASE HELP!! Bike is an 06 btw, allways worked PERFECT only 7000kms, never had a hitch starting.. untill now

thanks for all the help oh well really good news, i searched a bunch of threads that wernt really related but, i seen a post by moeman saying hold the throttle wide open and try starting it. i thouhgt this would be the worst thing to do, but it worked, battery was almost dead, but after i help it with the gas open i let it go and it started to crank over even faster for a sec then away she went, bit of smoke and she was a bit sputtery but i kept it going.. search tool saves the day again, moeman too of course

i dont think it was flooded.. i cranked it over when the gage cluster was off, so maybe i ran it dry or something. all i know is when i held it the throttle wide open it sounded like the battery was pretty much gunna give up so after i slacked off it started cranking a bit faster, i was starting to think i was going to ruin my starter but then it fired! i let it run for like 15 mins lol, didnt want to ever turn it off again

if the fuel pump is priming you will hear it. it will sound like a fan (thats what i always thought it was until it didnt turn on)

also make sure you dont have the BAS upside down. its really easy to put it in wrong when you are putting the nose back together. everything will turn on but the fuel pump wont prime

yeah, I was going to say, check the BAS (bank angle sensor, it shuts the bike off if it falls over)

03-06 600rr will run no gauges no lights, no upper harness, with out any problems, all you have to worry about is the BAS. make sure it right side up, maybe even try jumping (bypassing) it, not sure if they can go bad or not.

this thread will explain how to do it. let me know if you need any more help.
