Exhaust Gasket Help

Any know the answer to whether or not the silver gasket needs to be kept on when installing a slip-on exhaust system. It fits where the cat and mid pipe meet. Mine got torn up when I tried to pull it out of the stock system.

Are you talking about the lead gasket? If so, not unless the slip-on is oversized to fit the gasket.

Yeah thats the one I was talking about. Saw that I didn't need it on the Two Brothers website even though I put on a Leo Vince. It's still leaking at the joint no matter how much I tighten it. Two Brothers says to use a high temp sealant. Sucks that I gotta take it apart again.

There is no need for any type of sealant with the LV system. Just make sure that you have the slip-on pushed down all the way onto the headers.
