Shifting Problems

Hi All

I have an 05 CBR600RR and I'm having problems shifting. When I'm in 2nd and go to shift to the 3rd, the lever won't come up. It's like I'm at the top of the box in 6th and there's no where else to go. I find that if I clutch back in 2nd and then rev the engine harder again it'll go to 3rd or it also seems to work if I click down to first and then click up twice to 3rd. When I'm trying to change I'm reving about 5-6k just driving in the city.

Any ideas? Thanks for your help!

Sounds like a bent shifter. Was the bike down recently?

Never dropped. I was talking to the previous owner (a friend of mine) and he said that he never had any trouble though he hadn't rode it in a while.

Check the clutch lever slack , it has to be 3 mm in the lever side and suggest to change the oil ASAP so it will be beeter shifting.
