Howzit Mugen

I had same issue and was beating my head against the wall for a month. After being to the mechanic 4 or 5 times , found the problem to be the fuel pump

Not real sure but I have an 04 cbr600rr that's doing the same thing now.
No throttle body 02 sensor or pc hooked up right now and it's still doing so. Gonna try fuel pump and see what happens.

Not sure if you figured this out yet (9 years later.. lol), but I've noticed a trend with the RR's having this issue..

You mentioned that it happens when you hit a bump..

If you look under the seat you will see there's a fuse next to a relay by your battery..

Check all the wires to make sure they are not loose or broken..

My bike did the same thing and turns out it was simply a loose wire back there causing the bike to open the circuit from the battery.
It would only happen intermittently and especially when I would hit bumps..

I'm sure it's probably fixed by now as I'm posting in 2019 from the original post in 2010..
I'm sure if anyone else is having this issue.. What I mentioned above would be a good spot to check first before deciding to pull your tank..

You don't know, til you know.
