cooling fan question.

anyone with 2003-2004 cbr 600rr please let me know if the cooling fan is supposed to have any slack or movement that enables it to slide back and forth on the motor shaft. if so is it supposed to move anymore than like a inch or more because mine does and it seems like that shouldn't happen. I'm pretty sure the fan is missing the nut at the end, or it's just very loose one of the two.

That doesn't sound good, a little slack is ok but more than a millimeter or so is bad
