brake lever light issue

This just started happening recently... I hit my front brakes as usual "not hard or anything.." and my brake light stayed on... Well when I push it out the light turns off... I was looking over the assembly of it, and it looks like the spring that hits the button is sticking or not retracting fully.. Any suggestions on fixing this?

are you saying you push the lever out to turn it off? Cuz it should move all the way out by its self

WTB:
- Full set of race bodywork
- GP style windscreen (double bubble ok if cheap)
- Midpipe for Devil Rocket

Just the light, if it was the brake that would be a simple fix.

Are you using cheap aftermarket eBay levers?

sounds like the return spring in the master cylinder isn't working properly, probably easier to get a new master than try rebuild the old one.

Could also be that the lever is binding. Is the lever not overtightened and being pinched by the master cylinder?

A bit of graphite should fix that right up, and loosen the bolt a touch.

Unless Demented wants to give you his new one... ;)
