throttle tube - quick question! Noob in need!

Hey guys, this is probably a really noob-ish question, but I'm a noob so here goes (haha).

I was taking out my bar end weight inside the handlebar, and while I was prying it out, I took a small chunk of my throttle tube off right at the tip of the handlebar. The piece that broke off is what hung over the metal tube that contains the bar weight (its even with it now). Mind you, it is probably 1-2 cm wide and 2 cm long. Like a jagged triangular chunk. Kinda forms a "V".

Will this have a negative effect on the throttle in anyway, or am I just being super paranoid? It won't effect structural integrity or anything right? Lol

Also, is the grip supposed to be over the left groove right before the kill switch housing, or sit right before it?

Thank you so much in advance!

Ryan

Does the throttle tube still turn unobstructed?

Yes, the throttle still seems to snap back and forth just fine. chunk is on the tip right where you fold the grip back to see it.
