Wont Start with New Battery.

long story short.
ive read and search the fourms and read alot.

bike dies out when im at stoplight light and wont turn back on.
it jump starts fine and runs for a few minute then dies

bought brand new battery at dealer.

ran for a good 1 hour and half then i stalled again at stop light.

i must have a alternator problem not charging my battery

which should i change??

retifier/regulator
stater
wire harness
buy another new battery
Starter
fuel pump( i hear the fuel pump primiing when i switch on )

headlights work but goes out when i press the start button.
no sound of cranking.

recomandations?

First off, get your battery onto a charger quick smart before its dead.

Check the output of your charging system at 5000rpm with the high beams on, your looking for at least 14.4V.

If its below that then pull the stator plug and measure the winding resistance, should only be a few ohms on each (measure between the three yellow wires, three combinations total)

If that's all good then do a diode test on the r/r, you should be able to find the procedure with the search function.

also measure the stator a/c output voltage at 5k rpms. should be round 50v
