F4i Problems

My 02 F4i was running eratic so I pulled the tank & filter just to take a look. Found #2 cylinder had gas sitting on top of piston. Opened the oil fill cap & crank was FULL of gas/oil mix. Suspected fuel injector sticking open so I sent them off for flow check & cleaning. Bike back togther, running OK but not real clean below 6-7 grand. The bike sat for a week or more and then wouldn't start. I have voltage at starter but it would not turn the motor over. Tried to push start just to see if motor would at least turn over. No luck, slid the tire. Checked the oil & I again have gas in the crank. Pulled all plugs, #2 & 4 were wet. With all plugs out, bike on stand, was able to put bike in high gear & BARELY turn the engine over by tugging slowly on rear wheel spokes. The starter still will not turn it over. My thoughts, questions, worries are; #1- I assume the fuel pump, rail is being primed each time the on/off switch goes to on. Is fuel going thru the injectors into the cylinders each time? What conditions happen before the injectors open? #2-How is the gas getting to the crankcase? Thru the injectors, to the cylinder, seeping past the rings? #3-I assume the fuel in the lower end has effectively broke down the oil, lubrication, so that's why it's so hard to turn over? Rings possibly scaring the cylinder walls? #4-I've thought about squirting a little oil on top of each piston, after new oil in the bottom, to see if the starter would then be able to turn it over. ANY feedback will be GREATLY appreciated!! Only mods on bike are a Jardine slip-on & a BMC air filter.

You may have leaking injectors, did they test for that or was it just flow and clean?

And you definitely need to change the oil if there is enough fuel in it for you to notice!

Have you messed with the timing chain at all?

Also fuel will pass by the rings if let to sit.

The injectors were cleaned, tested, & anything found in need of replacement was replaced. I have not touched the timing. The bike only sat for approx. a week. Would that lenght of time let that amount of fuel pass? Thanks Nico.

How much fuel made it in there exactly? cause bugger all will get through normally, just enough to make it smell like fuel. I see you have said full, but the whole crankcase?

The initial time it happened, when I removed the oil filler cap, it was full to the brim. Upon draining, it had the consistency of water.

Have you checked to make sure all of your hoses are on the right way?

doesn't mean it wasn't filling the crankcase with fuel the whole time
