Idle Help

My bike runs great when cold but when it warms up the idle drops to 1000 rpms. No biggie, adjust the idle right? If you turn the idle adjuster it does nothing. I took off the airbox and watched as it turned and it is turning the spring connected to the throttle bodies. Am I missing something?

I have never had issues with my 03 so i've never had to really watch the throttlebody side of the adjuster, but when you are turning it, it should be turning a threaded end of it. Make sure that when you turn it fully in, that the adjuster is working properly.

Took another look at the adjuster. When I am turning it, it is threading into the piece that it is in. The idle does nothing. Everything looks to be working correctly. I am stumped...

Where is the pcv? How do I check this? Is there something that would cause oil blowback?

PCV is the crankcase ventilation, tube that goes from the valve cover to the intake, low compression will cause blow back as will arcing on the stator windings, pretty much anything that can cause a build up of pressure in the crankcase will cause blow back through the PCV, to check it just pull the hose off and have a look for oil in it. You probably won't find any, but it was the only thing I could think of at the time.

Vacuum leak somewhere?

Well I am happy to say I got the idle up. I guess the adjuster was all seized. Grabbed an end with the pliers and a screwdriver in the other hand and broke it free. Thanks for the help guys!
