Kickstand sensor broken.. Quick question

Hey everyone,

So my kickstand sensor is broken and I cannot ride the bike due to this issue. The bike shuts off every time I shift into first gear. I know this is a safety feature most bikes have these days. My question is; Is there any way to turn off or unplug the sensor so I can ride for the time being until my part comes in? My bike is located in a bad spot and I do not have a way to get it back home. Does anyone know if there is a way to temporarily shut off this feature?

Thanks!

Splice the 2 wires together, this will bypass the switch.

Are the two wires located down near the kickstand and sensor?

Yes and you can trace them up the bike to where you have more room to do the work.

Sounds good I'm guessing I can't reverse this after I splice the two wires together?

To reverse it, just undo what you did to splice the wires together.
