Handle bar sliders wont come off...

Maybe im doing something wrong but Im trying to take the old handle bar end cap sliders off my bike and they will not screw off. Its a metal end cap with a phillips screw going threw it. I twisted and twisted for about 10 min!!! I tried the other side and its doing the same thing.. If I pull on it it will pull out a bit but not all the way out. (Trying to replace for shogun crash kit)

I know its probably just something stupid that im not doing but its really frustrating, I need some friendly advice!

Marry Christmas, ride safe!

Try pushing in on it while turning the screw. If that doesn't work then put a vise grip on it since your just replacing it

Hold the bar end still while unscrewing, the bar end has a key on the end to hold the internals from spinning
