HELP I'm retarded!

this is quite embarrassing. I just got finished installing my keyless gas cap. and I had used my key for the stock gas cap to take it off and now the key is F-ing stuck in the gas cap lock. I've tried squeezing the two bottom clips that lock onto the gas cap, but it didn't seem to do anything. do I need to try harder to squeeze them in to pop the key out? please help I feel really stupid right now.

haha thanks for posting that video! I got it out. I had no clue about that circular piece that had to be lifted up. I thought it was just those two spring loaded pieces on the lower section.
