Battery removal problems

Hi, Can anyone help?

I cant remove the battery from the tray. It will come so far up, but then wont budge anymore.

thoughts please?

Guessing it's hitting the subframe cross member?
Use a flat head screw driver to tweak it back a little bit and then you can pull up on it..

Thanks, yeah it does look like that is causing it. I only want to remove it so i can thread through the small gap some permannent battery connector terminals.
Being my first bike and not mechanically minded at all, was not sure how much pressure to apply, but will give it a go?
Have you experienced this?

Yes, but only because of rerouting of wires in the battery tray.. What year do you have?
Is it a stock battery? Had a customer that had a seadoo battery in his bike, didn't fit at all..

I can only assume its a stock battery. I have a 2003.
