Disconnecting gauges

Is it ok to disconnect the clocks / gauges? Might sound a bit stupid but will it retain all the info or muck up the bike in any way if it's disconnected for a day or so?

Nope, but you will need to reset the clock when you plug it back in.

You can even ride the bike without it... but you wont have indicators.
