Please Help or Suggestions

I have a 2005 honda cbr 600rr. Recently my bike would kill it self when i put kickstand up and shifted into first gear. So, I replaced the kickstand switch and problem still occurs. The bike starts up just fine and idles fine in neutral. When i try to start the bike in first gear it doesn't start. When I try to shift into second instead of first same results bike kills itself.

Any suggestions or tips please comment.

check the clutch switch. one of the wires may have just come disconnected or the switch might be bad.

WTB:
- Full set of race bodywork
- GP style windscreen (double bubble ok if cheap)
- Midpipe for Devil Rocket

Don't mean to sound like a nub, but where would this clutch switch be located?

look on the bracket that holds the lever. There should be two wires running to it.

That all depends on your skill level. Half hour?

Just to clarify... If the bike is already in gear and you try to start it with the clutch, what happens?

It sounds like your bike is stalling because your clutch isnt engaging. Is there any resistance when you pull in the clutch lever?

Do this:

Find and jump the two wires going to the clutch switch and see if that changes anything

then

Find and jump the two wires going to the kickstand switch and see if that changes anything
