Akrapovic s/o install/troubleshoot

Hey guys,

I installed the akra exhaust on 07 cbr600 and there's a burning smell from the exhaust, at first I was afraid it was something else cause I installed new lights for the whole bike. I was wondering if that's normal. I'm thinking its just the residue from a new pipe. First hour riding w/ new pipe.

Also when I took off the stock exhaust I found a rubber ring where the mid pipe connects to the lower exhaust (not too sure the term) was I supposed to use that same rubber ring for the akra? I found it after I installed the new pipe.

Btw pipe is phenomenal. Also took the time to install hids, protons, tripage it, tripage led hugger, shogun sliders. And windscreen

Bike looks phenomenal now haha

its normal. just the packing in the exhaust can thats burning. itll go away over time.
the ring is the exhaust gasket. it wont fit with the slip on. just make sure the exhaust clamp is nice and tight. make sure theres no leaks.
if there are leaks, then youll have to apply a high temp liquid gasket to seal it.
