Fairing Separation Issue

I have had plastics from cbrfairings.com on my 2007 since June 2010.

My fairing is separating between the mid fairing and the tank. The two small plastic tabs that fit under the tank keep popping open (perhaps the heat made it separate?).

Is there any suggestion to fix this???

i know what youre talking about.
i was having that issue on my old fairings.

mine were all mangled up though, i ended buying used fairings and they fit just fine.

ne way, mb you could get some apoxy and build the lip up on the tabs themselves that way they are more pronounced and will fit under the tank more snuggly.

thats all i got mb some fairing guru can come in and give you a better solutoin .

Ya was thinking this might have to be the solution.

OK so I am hoping the fairing guru will still come along before I have to have a ghetto fix.

No nothing pushing it out....the fairings have just recently started to separate in that one spot....not sure what the solution is?

May just be caused by heat... did you put heat shielding on them?

Do what Dep suggested. I had the exact same issue and did exactly the same thing to fix them. They used to separate every time I road the bike. It hasn't separated since. I just applied a little JBWeld on the tab to thicken it up and voila.

Yes have the heat shield on.

Will have to try this fix when I am back home, will let you know how it turns out. In the mean time I am riding with ghetto looking fairings and it is not pretty.
