600RR top speed, is this normal?

Hello. I was testing my 600rr today @ airport.

Top speed was measured @ 1609 meters.

There was also taken 1/4 mile time, so its 402 meters.

My bike is 2003 model with Jardine rt1 one titanium slip-on, and powercommander 3. Powercommander is set properly, and i have 105hp/60nm dyno documents.

at 400m, 1/4 mile time was 11.730 seconds.

Top speed which was taken at 1609 meters was 229 km/h???

My bike has one or two sizes smaller front sprocket, this will affect top speed pretty much right?

Or is 1609 meters so short trip that bike doesnt top on it?

Regards!

142mph sounds about right after changing the sprockets... the quick acceleration sprockets (-F/+R) adversely effect your top speed... They make you accelerate quicker, but you lose some top end.

What do you mean you didn't top out? 229km/h is pretty damn close to topping out if it's not.

According to: http://www.gearingcommander.com/

Top speed with stock: 147.7mph (237.7km/h)
Top Speed with -1/+0: 138.4mph (222.8km/h)
Top Speed with -2/+0: 129.2mph (208km/h)

What makes you think you weren't topped out?

Bike dint top on that 1.6km trip, it still had some rpm:s left with 6th gear.

So you guys think that speed is pretty good and powercommander 3 and jardine slip-on actually help something with power or what does it look like?

It was -1 or -2 front sprocket, cant be 100% sure.

I thought thats bad speed, cause i see alot videos from youtube where 600rr gets 285km/h on speedo???
