Popping out of first gear

My bike did something disconcerting today, it popped out of first gear into neutral while I was pulling out of the parking garage... Any idea what it could be?

Also, how much does a full replacement transmission cost?

if it was just from a weak shift, you have no problems (this happens)

on a bike you tend to not replace the full transmission, they are VERY servicable and you just replace the worn parts

in this case it would probably be shift forks, or dogs IF thats what it was

but i doubt it was a mechanical failure and just a bad shift.

Opinions are like assholes. Everyone has one. Some of them stink.

A bit of reading and you'll have a chance to filter the bullshit from the good oil
