Cut the battery? Lol just playing.
Besides getting the correct size battery, I doubt there's anything you can do.
You can't lower the battery tray or anything of that sort. So i'm guessing the seat does not bolt back on?

it does but u can feel the rise. im assuming its the right batery i ordered it from disco the same time as my levers and all. i was thinking of trimming the plastic alittle underneath or trying to turn the battery long ways

Heat up the bottom of the battery tray with a heat gun and stretch it down a little... I wouldn't go trimming it though.

Forget the seat and just sit on the battery.

Sent while sitting on the crapper.
