1992 cbr600 f2 running hot

Ok for my first thread, I have a 1992 cbr600 f2 stock. No mods or nothing ......YET.... So we first noticed it when we rode it home after purchasing it. The ride was from carrolton tx, to mesquite tx. Approx 35 min. The rider is abo 160lbs and started noticing the temp gauge going up. It went up past normal and stayed there for a while. Then he noticed it would gradually go up, almost touching the red indicator. He was riding 4-5 rpms whole ride.
I have checked radiator fluid resv tank. and it full. Oil and stuff is good too. Last night i checked radiator cap and fluid and its all good. My next thought would be the thermastat. Can anyone give me insight to maybe what im missing?

I would bet it is your thermostat or it could be a water pump that is not working to its full potential. Just a guess though may just need to flush the system get all the air out and try it again.

Yeah i thought about flushing it out. Not 100 percent on how to flush it out. I heard u have to open cap and let bike run for like 10 min. Ima see if the thermostat is opening properly also
