Top speed

I drive a 2008 CBR 600 Grafitti edition with 10 000kms, these bikes are meant to reach a top speed of up to 280km. The bike some how cant go pass 245km, wat could the problem be.

Did you change the gearing on the bike, like -1,+2 sprockets? If so, that takes away top speed...

If you're going That fast please don't tell me you have nothing but sunglasses a monster t-shirt on with shorts and flip flops, because that is the picture I get when someone says they are trying to max out there bike...

For the love of god why would you wanna go that fast. I mean i have oped my bike up and got up to 120mph but it felt like the wind was going to rip me right off the bike so i slowed the hell down, but other then that it sounds like its a govener or like biglen said if you changed your sprokets then thats where the issue is

Who gives a **** why he wants to go that fast, he has a technical question.

OP, the max speed as calculated by redline in 6th is going to be difficult to hit. The actual top speed is going to depend on HP and wind resistance etc.

Idk kph in relation to MPH but what do you mean its maxed out? 6th gear bouncing off Rev limiter? Won't go past certain rpm? You buy the bike new or used, and have you ever gone to 280kph before on this bike?

i dont believe their is any governor on any 600 in america... ive head because of the speed treaty in america our liter bikes have a governor at 186-187 and the bike shut down.... i am sure their are other reasons to why your bike didnt continue to clime to 173.. but youll probably stop accelerating around 160 even with a slip on a/f...

2000 ZX6R - sold due to immaturity

So a person that buys a sportbike and would like to know how to get all they can out of it deserves a squid response from some no0b?

What do you use yours for? Posing at the 7-11?
