Help please :)

So I'm stranded. Pop starting into 2nd won't work; I tried every which way slow release pop whatnot. Battery won't hold a charge but started up just fine 2 weeks ago. So the real problem is the ex maggot who has somehow sabotaged my bike. What should I check, in what order, and can it be done by an angry female with a low budget?

btw I'm not really a jerk :)

If the Battery won't hold a charge. Then your not going to keep the bike running.
the Stator isn't strong enough to keep a bike running like a car.
There is not enough juice/power being generated.

Battery are weird like that. One day it's working the next day It's Dead.

It's probably your voltage regulator. I had the same problem on a '03 Yamaha R6. Following the service manual, I changed the battery then the stator and still had the same problem. The mechanic at my local bike shop suggested the regulator. When I unplugged it, there were two fried terminals in the plug. I changed the regulator then cut the plug off and put new terminals with heat shrink on each wire. Was good as new after that!

If you do have to cut the plug off, do it one wire at a time so you know which terminal they go to.
