HIDs work until bike starts..then off!?!?

Well after spending a couple hours getting my new HIDs hooked up and thought i was all good to go i started the bike to go for a quick night spin to see how nice the new lights were but they turned off..sometimes the high beam will stay on but they turn off everytime i start the bike..once i shut it off and then turn the key and power the bike back up they work fine..anyone have any ideas..its one of the new slim kits..please and thank you

Check your relays on the hids... sounds like they arent getting correct voltage when the bike is running. Its a direct plug and play! Therefore check your wires... what brand are you using.

I use those ebay set too. Sometime they are harder to get turned on, try to recharge ur batt 1st.
On my previous 250rr it run hi/Lo h4 hid on both side, one of the ballast was harder to be turned on when batt was low on voltage.
Same issue happened to my car too when batt is low, not yet on my 600rr though coz the batt is in good condition. Hope this helps dude

I put a switch in line with my low beam and always turn both lights off before starting. Once the bike is running a few seconds then turn them both on. This takes the extra load of the HIDs off the battery when it isnt charging. Also somewhere I read that the off and back on from the start wasnt good for the ballast.

I thought that may have been the problem but it was so consistent..I always have my battery on the battery tender though so i couldnt see that being the problem..I tried it on the tender off the tender after it was running and then plugging them in and nothing..so i dunno hopefully this DDM kit i ordered will work
Thanks for the input guys!
