Noise from Discs/Pads

Hi all

I have a 2007 RR with 10K miles on it. I was doing some heavy front braking today just to get a good feel for what the bike does and after doing this for a bit (not more than a minute or 2), I can hear what sounds like the pads rubbing against the discs.

It's not a consistent rubbing noise either, which I hope doesn't mean the disk has warped. Any ideas? Is this normal?

Thanks
Ray

Brake pads are being replaced tomorrow. Let's see if that's it.

Yeah. I had this on my 06 as well. It sounded like a faint hissing sound when using the front brake. I never went on to figure it out. It was on my to do list. Let us know what happens.

There's a few threads about this. Its normal for them to do this, it prevents any debris from getting between the pad and disc.
