Clutch disengaged? at stop light

Hello,

I searched the forum and did not come up with an answer, sorry if this has been covered before.

I was at a stop light with the clutch held in (the same way as always) and felt slight tension come on the drive train as though the clutch were being released. The bike did not jolt forward nor stall.

To the best of my knowledge, nothing changed after this initial feeling of tensioning, but I may have applied more pressure to the clutch at this point.

Is this an early indication that my clutch is getting bad? I made a slight adjustment to the free play about a month ago.

Thanks in advance!

You shouldn't have any noticeable power when the clutch is pulled. I do the two finger thing so my clutch only gets pulled half way and I don't feel any tension. I can roll it back and forth and not feel different either way. Seems like your clutch is just out of adjustment.

Your welcome dude, I dont know if that's your problem but it's definitely worth looking into first. I believe the clutch is adjustable down near the right engine cover. A 14mm and 12mm nut if I remember correctly. You can also make smaller adjustments with the finger screw on the clutch lever itself.
