need to paint area above exhaust


i have a rs5 exhaust on 2007 cbr600rr i want to remove the heat sheild that is on the area above my exhaust (the foil paper looking thing) and want to paint that area black as it goes with my bike

any suggestions are greatly appreciated always

I wouldnt remove that foil, just spray over it. I would use flat black engine paint,and you wont ever know it was there. That way it will keep its cooling ability and nothing will melt
