Take it easy man, no need to take it to the dealer if you don't have to. Since you don't have spark now check the connections to the coils, make sure the computer is plugged in good. Look at all the pins while it's apart and make sure none of them are bent or corroded. When troubleshooting don't assume anything, check everything. It pays off trust me, I do it for a living. The crankshaft position sensor is the unit that delivers the spark signal. It is located under the right side engine cover (clutch cover). Follow the wires and make sure the connector is plugged in good, it should be under the gas tank somewhere.
And again try to look at the WIRING. It is very cheap if it gets hot or pinched it will break. My bike got bumped by a car and it broke some wires under the fairing. I had to cut the harness open to even find them. The harness looked perfect on the outside.
