H7 headlight bulb doesnt fit?!

my bright bulb went out, it says its an H7. went to autozone and bought an H7 bulb but it doesnt fit?! the prongs on the H7 bulb i bought are too close together...any ideas??

Not sure if the h7's for a car are the same as for a motorcycle. Someone else should know though.

They should be the same. Try pulling the low beam and put it in the high and see if it looks the same as the new bulb you bought.

there is an extension you have to have, the h7 connects to that and then the headlight harness to that.

I had this same problem, as stated above its hard to tell but there is an adapter that the bulb is plugged into. pry the two apart and reinstall on the new bulb.

There is a black hard plastic socket that holds the Bulb make sure you wear gloves when you pull the old bulb off and install the new bulb in its place I am talking about part number 6 in this image
