left signal light acting up

so when I ride my left signal light spontaneously turns on for alike a mili second. I just see the light on the dash flicker a bit.... this is without me having it turned on. it occurs quit a bit... it does seem to occur more often when i hit uneven pavement or when I reach the high rev area, which seems to hint at a short...

where should i check all the currents and such to figure out where the problem is?
what surprises me is that the signal light has to draw current from somewhere.. but my switch is turned off. So I assume its an internal issue with the actual signal switch?

any ideas?

Have you tried checking the fuse box? Possible wire shortage?

There should be a relay for the turn signals. I'd have to take a look at the service manual though which I currently don't have with me as of this moment... I can try to look for you.

I think! the blinker relay is under the seat. Its on clutch side next to battery. Replaced mine for trip age STD light.
